Do you enjoy sifting through old pictures and reminiscing of the past? Have you always wondered what something looked like before it changed? Well, since May of 2024, the Eagle River Historical Society has been working quietly behind the scenes to develop a new research tool for the public that allows people to look through our photograph collection!

On December 11th, we will be unveiling this project to the public, explaining how the tool works, who the project partners are, and how neat it is that anyone can now search through our hundreds and thousands of historic images! Here's what you need to know:

• A Public Meeting will be held on December 11th, 2024 at the Walter E. Olson Library.
• The first session will be from 3:00pm to 3:45pm
• The second session will be from 5:00pm to 5:45pm
• We encourage those attending to bring a laptop, tablet, or another online device.

Tis' the season to be Hideous! Come to the Eagle River Historical Society's Main Museum on December 30th, 2024 to our Annual Christmas Party! The Public is Welcome to attend, here are the details of the event:

• Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest -  Get your picture taken and vote for who's is the worst!
• Potluck Event- Bring a dish, appetizer, or a favorite treat to share!
• Beer & Wine will be available for purchase - Hot Beverages will be Free! 
• Party Starts at 6:00pm and ends at 8:00pm, contest will be held at 7:15pm!
