Whether you were born here, are a long time resident or a recent arrival, preserving the past creates a sense of community, and helps to make Eagle River a better place to live. 
However, Historical Societies are expensive to run, we have two museums to run, staff, and a collection to maintain -any- amount donated will help us fulfill our mission and vision and allow us to keep saving Eagle River History! 

If you want to donate, but don't know where to start, we have different tiers of donations through our Memorial Garden and Legacy Circle, but the form on the left can help you direct your donations where you think they are appropriate and the button below will allow you to make a custom donation of any size.

LOOKING TO DONATE AN ARTIFACT TO THE SOCIETY?

Cleaning out your attic or have an heirloom your family doesn't seem to be interested in? Well, if it has any connection to Eagle River or Vilas County we would be excited to take a look at it! We are always looking for unique and historically fascinating objects for us to preserve and share with the public. 

If there is something you may be interested in giving us, please print and fill out the "Temporary Custody Receipt" below and call to schedule an appoint for us to look at the item(s). Again, the object must have some significance to Eagle River, whether it be a person, place, era, or an event.

MEMORIAL GARDEN

The Eagle River Historical Society is offering an opportunity to become a permanent part of Eagle River history. The Memorial Garden patios, at our Historical Museum campus on Highway 45 South, are surfaced with laser engraved pavers commemorating families, events, businesses and individuals. Many have chosen to honor military service in this way.

Two sizes of pavers are available at $100 and $300, offering up to five lines of engraving. Email us or pick up a form at either of the Historical Society Museums to order.

A paver is the perfect gift on any occasion or to honor someone important in your life. The garden has been landscaped with trees, shrubs and flowering plants, creating a beautiful setting for your gift.

LEGACY CIRCLE

The Legacy Circle was established to allow supporters to plan their giving with gifts of stocks or other financial instruments, transfers of real estate or in their estate planning. 

Participating in the Legacy Circle means you direct your own gifts and control their use. We work with certified financial planners and real estate professionals for all transfers. 

The Legacy Circle director will be happy to discuss this with you but your own legal and financial advisors are the best source of personal guidance.
