Eagle River Business Promotions Exhibit - MEMBER'S ONLY LAUNCH | June 3rd
We will be unveiling a new exhibit in the "downtown business" section of our Depot Museum, highlighting all of the free & promotional "give aways" from local businesses in Eagle River over the past 100 years! This exhibit will be a fun trip down memory lane for long time locals, and many of you will recognize businesses that have come and gone over the years! Because member's are our biggest supporters we are giving them a first look, to become a member, click the button below!
An Evening at the Everett Resort - MEMBER'S ONLY EVENT | June 10th - SOLD OUT/ FULL CAP.
In appreciation of your support of our organization we are excited to announce an exclusive MEMBER’S ONLY RECEPTION! Member's are formally invited to attend and immerse themselves at the Everett Resort on June 10th, at 4:00pm. This specially prepared History Presentation about the Everett Resort will cover over 130+ years of history. This is a rare opportunity to see some never before seen historic film of boat racing, golfing, and other resort mischief from 1917-1925!
In addition to ALL of this, member's can enjoy a fine selection of heavy hors’ d'oeuvres in the much coveted Sun Parlor! To attend this event, there is no cost outside of being a member and a cash bar. However seats are limited to 65 people so RSVP as soon as possible! There will be a cash bar and parking available. "Bars & Brothels" Historic Pub Crawl | June 17th - SOLD OUT!
While Eagle River may be a relaxing vacation spot or slow paced area to raise a family today, over the past 120+ years Eagle River was known for other - sinister or unsavory history... Join us on our historic pub where we will go and visit real historic locations, including bars, sites of former brothels, and other locations showcasing our more "Rough and Tumble" History" Come learn about the “unsavory” and rougher history of our little town’s early years over a few pints!
- NOTE - Pub Crawls are approx. 2.5- 3hrs long, start at 4:00pm, and are limited to 10 people.

The Eagle River Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a City-Wide "Sip n' Shop" with beer and wine on Saturday June 20th - We will be one of the Stops for the Event! Be sure to stop in and receive a 10% discount across our museum giftshop and 10% off gift certificates for downtown tours!
50/50 Raffle at 4th of July Parade | July 4th
Be sure to be in downtown Eagle River for our annual 4th of July Parade as the Historical Society will be selling 50/50 tickets. Last year's winner won $6,966! The only way you can win is if you are at the parade and buy some tickets! We cant wait to see you there!

Join us for a FREE history presentation to learn about the “Rough & Tumble” History of Eagle River! We will be covering bootlegging, murder, explosions, accidents, controversy and much more! The first lecture will be at the WHITE SPRUCE INN , July 8th at 4:00pm, the Second lecture will be at the EAGLE WATERS RESORT, Aug. 12th at 4:00pm

Grape Stomp Fest. & Chair-ity Auction | July 19th
On July 19th we will be hosting our ANNUAL FUNDRAISER at BORTOLOTTI’S CIN CIN! This is our annual fundraiser that pays for our additional programming and projects. Your generosity here helps pay for our scanning projects, new exhibits, school tours for the 4th grade, and paying for our staff. Your ticket will include a Sunday Afternoon of:
FROM 2:00pm TO 5:00pm:
- A "traditional" Grape stomp (dont worry, we wont be making wine with this) with a chance to earn some prizes.
- Six wines to taste and a custom glass for the first 75 people
- $10 Credit for a food truck with a variety of items
- Live Music by TOPHAT
- A wide Variety of Raffle Baskets with unique experiences and goodies from across the Northwoods!
FROM 5:00pm TO 6:30pm:
- Desserts from our Heritage Cook Book will be available for all attendees
- At 6:00pm we will start our 3rd ANNUAL GARDEN ART AUCTION! Where lucky bidders can have a chance to win uniquely painted garden art -Whether it be chairs, antique tools, and other special pieces to add to your garden scape this summer!
- Raffle Basket Winners will be announced at the end of the auction.

Historic Property Tour at Jansen's Eagle Lake Resort | Aug. 16th
We will be celebrating the 100th ANNIV. OF JANSEN’S EAGLE LAKE RESORT on Eagle Lake! Many of you may know this resort as the little white one on the mouth of the throughfare entering or exiting Eagle Lake. On August 16th, join us as we go back in time 100 years ago on the shores of Eagle Lake to tour Jansen's Historic Bar, cabins, Ice House, and much more!
Your ticket will include an hour long tour of the property, a cookout with brats, hamburgers, hot dogs and summer side salads, a cash bar with "Boozy Pops", lawn games, and live music by Chuck Lange!
Tickets are $65.00 per person! This is your way to get some of that upfront history but also relax lake side and enjoy the chain of lakes like tourists 100 years ago!
